AB2766 Grant Program

California Assembly Bill 2766 (AB2766), signed into law in 1990, permits the District to allocate a $4.00 per vehicle registration surcharge fee towards projects that reduce motor vehicle emissions such as zero emission vehicles, roundabouts, traffic signal coordination, or vanpools. Funds may also be used for related planning, monitoring, enforcement, and technical studies. Funds are available to public agencies in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz Counties.

 All applications due to District Office no later than 4:00 pm  July 1, 2019
 Staff posts list of all eligible applicants for FY20 funding on District Website  July 8,  2019
Staff completes scoring and ranking of eligible FY20 applications August 2, 2019
Staff grant award recommendations presented at September 2018 Board meeting. Selected projects are announced by Board. September 18, 2019
