Current Air Quality & Forecast

Air Quality Forecast

May 2 – May 6: A high-pressure system continues to bring warm temperatures and clear skies through late week, along with cool breezes on the coast. A low-pressure system from Alaska will create cooler wet conditions Friday night through Saturday, with up to 0.5 inches of rain. It will be chilly this weekend, with lows in the 40s on the coast and 30s inland. Dry weather returns Sunday along with a warming trend through early next week. Cool weather will keep ozone air quality levels GOOD. Breezy conditions keep air well mixed, so AQIs for PM2.5 (smoke) will be generally GOOD with occasional periods of MODERATE readings in the valleys during late-night/early-morning hours. The AQI for PM10 (dust) should also remain GOOD.
