Zach Friend is a public policy, government relations and communications expert with significant experience shaping and enacting local, state and federal legislation and regulatory policy. He has worked for multiple presidential campaigns, the White House Council of Economic Advisers, U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives and has served as Santa Cruz County Supervisor for multiple terms.
Zach has chaired local, regional, and national commissions on health care and health access, public health, transportation, technology policy, criminal justice reform, environment and land use, flood control and the film and television industries.
Zach is a regular commentator on national television on public affairs and was previously spokesperson for the Santa Cruz, California Police Department and a battleground state press secretary and on-the-record state spokesperson with multiple presidential campaigns.
